John was the magical consultant for the documentary “Fast Games, Fast Money” about the street games in New York City. This film won the prestigious Rose Bud Award. He has opened for various acts at the Hershey Convention Center, including the Drifters.

I am John Dodge.
Magician, Comedian, Entertainer, Clown and Ventriloquist!
John began his magical journey over 35 years ago while serving as a Baltimore City Police officer. For the last 26 years, Doctor JJ, as a part of the Big Apple Circus Clown Care®, John devoted much of his "off time" entertaining children, families and staff at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington D.C., and at Johns Hopkins Hospital Children’s Center in Baltimore, Md.. John was also a part of an early 2000's documentary by Christopher Llewellyn Reed titled, "Clown Care".
John has entertained audiences up and down the East Coast with a delightful mix of magic, comedy and yes, ventriloquism too! In addition to Clown Care Doctor JJ, John was mentored by Baltimore ventriloquist legend, Charlie Fowler. Charlie taught John the time-honored craft, and soon after, John added an assortment of characters to his entertainment repertoire.
Among the awards, accolades, and recognition John has received during his entertainment career, are the Fred Schmelz Award from the Maryland Wizards Magic Club, numerous competition awards from Clowns of America, and "Baltimore’s Best Magic Comedian" from Baltimore Magazine.
